L.I.C.T vs L.U.C.T
Do you guys just agree with me that time really FLIES very fast?? Hmm. i've completed my diploma in Multimedia Advertising and Broadcasting.. I can't really believed it because it was like only yesterday i joined LUCT.. Remembering the day when i came all the way here with two luggages and a boxes "All by myself" without my parents and without anyone.. It does seemed to be a great experience of being independent for me..
Looking back at those days where everything in KL seemed to be practically alien for me.. Hell, i knew nothing about the life in KL and it seemed horrendous cause everyone had warned me that KL is a very DANGEROUS place.. Yupez.. it used to be but nowadays, everywhere is the same to me.. Including my hometown when it comes to convicting crimes.. Ok back to the topic.. The very first moment i stepped into LICT (used to be called Limkokwing Institute Creative of Technology), the place give me some rather hmm happening experience and impression.. Am i stepping towards the right journey i wondered.. Things seemed to be alien the moment i started to walk into this black building.. From that very moment i've knew few friends during orientation.. And after that, it's the moment i started to knew friends like Swee Ping, Michelle, Steven, Sabrina (the little petite girl who always make noises with her high heels, Jimmy, June (she is currently working at Ikano Power Center) and a few other classmates that i don't really remember their names.
Looking through the days me and charlie angels (michelle, amy, Sp and me) always spent in the atrium area where we always sat at the stage area and hang out there.. There's our meet up place to chit chat, washing our eyes (ehem), start to laugh at not so handsome guys who looked like weirdos and start to give people loadsa variety nick names like "Green shirt, cocky, piercy, garbage and loads more).. In our atrium area we have a few wooden boxes booths that is see through.. There is the places for counselling and we always have free shows to see and there was once one of the guy that we always peek at happens to be in the booth with his parents and counsellor.. The guys had a very sad and depressed look on his face and his father was like scolding him non-stop.. We sat outside and just look at what is going on.. Very bz body huh??
We also have cool lecturers like Niki, Jen and many more.. Niki is our youngest lecturer.. Started to missed him loads ey.. He's our Introduction to Marketing lecturer.. Remembering how much he nags (more than my mom), how much he hated us when we're late or skip his class, the way he speaks during lecturing and giving notes (damn fast) and of course sometimes we just simply "tak boleh" tahan with his mood swing.. It's obvious to know when is the right time to approach him or not before he start to bites your heads off.. He is very hardworking, young and talented.. We just simply loved his lecture so much despite he is quite cute and so forth.. har har.. Girls just loved him loads especially his students who never failed to turn up and give him the 100% attendance.. I bet no other lecturer will have that.. Well he left LICT during our second sem.. I heard he was doing freelance at the moment or maybe some senior writter job..
The environment during L.I.C.T really gaves us alot of sweet memories and comfortable environment.. talk about foods in mayang.. simply the best, loadsa choices and most importantly it is convenient that no one actually feel like complaining compred to cyber.. har har.. during long break in between our classes, it's so convenient that we can take LRT to anywhere we want.. Great right.. During semester 4, life started to change for all the LICT-lians.. when we found out that our comfortable life in Mayang is ending and we have to move to cyber-fucking-jaya.. It's like a nightmare to everyone cause the place is damn fucking far.. We're the first batch to become the white lab rat to try out the life there.. Life in hell started for each and everyone of us.. It's isolated, foods choices are so little and the prices are so damn fucking expensive, the ugliness of our campus, the walls and floors start cracking and we distance we had to walk to our classes and also the humid, suffocating black toilet environment that giving everyone pain in the ass.. don't you guys just agree with me?? That's when most of the students and lecturers quit and join other places..
"Argh, we missed mayang.." that is what everyone said.. Even though the place is smaller compared to cyber but the atmosphere and environment is just so different.. During lunch break, we will be accompanied by faithful friends which falls under the category of "Flies" or formally known in Malay as "Lalatz".. Argh.. no one can stand the place.. no one.. after two semesters, the food court moved to the fucking plaza area and they gave the fucking place a name called "Makan-lah" and there's where other "self proclaimed so called happening places like Fitofly (the lame and stupid name for a gym), centerfolds (the very own limkokwing's giordano), Making headlines, One World Club, Wings Coffee and Hair Design Academy".. I never been into any of the places that i've mentioned.. Doesn't feel like going in at all.. The funny names that they named those places had yet sometimes makes me wonder, it this what they call creativity?? har har.. no comment at all.. I seriously don't know what to say..
Overall, life in Cyber is at least 10 times more expensive than Mayang.. It's a big difference.. It's a nightmare for those who doesn't possess own transportation.. I know the feeling.. trust me cause i had to rely on the college bus to go back to Kelana Jaya (where i choosed and prefered to stay despite of bored myself to death in the isolated place like Cyber).. In cyber, if you doesn't have a group of big friends like i do, you will be bored to death completely.. Confirm.. unless you are the book worm type that will either stay in the library doing revision or maybe drop by at the computer lab (which is always either server down or computer hang when you are in the middle of saving your work.. sucks huh).. Some may prefered the life in Cyber because it is bigger but some like me.. just doesn't know how to appreciate it or prefered not to do so..
Probably cyber's life will be different in few years time when it's fully developed?? let us hope so.. at least a reasonable, affordable and fast LRT service built near to the campus so that we doesn't have to pay for the expensive taxi charges of 15 bucks to get there within a very near driving distance..and not to mention the expensive ERL 9 bucks for one way and 15 bucks for two way to get to KL Sentral.. Life is not completely easy for everyone..
