"Hey hey" She answered the call
"Hey my little girl.. just called up to check you out.. missed u loads.." he said
"Awww... that's really sweet of you.. i missed u loads too.. things were pretty much ok over here.. what about urs??" she replied
"Life is pretty much monotonous here.. well not much of excitement lately.. it's about the tonnes of stresses i've been dealing with work but somehow rather.. i still survived.. so what's new for you there?? Are u in love or seeing anyone already?? He asked
"Good to hear that!!! Seeing anyone?? nah.. no luck yet.. in love? hmmm " she paused
"Mmmm what?? Do you still have to think of how to answer me on that question?" he cut in
"Well.. yeah.. I've fallen for someone lately.. liked him loads..." she replied
"Liked him loads?? and... anything happened?" he asked
"Nope.. nothing happened.." she replied
"How come.. please don't tell me ur ex still haunts u?? Oh come on girl.. its time for you to let go.. plus he got married already for god's sake" he said
"No.. not that.." she said softly
"What is stopping you then??" he asked
"I don't think he likes me plus he is seeing someone already" she said
"Sorry to hear that.. M pretty sure that you really liked him huh?? Far as i concern.. it is very hard for you to start liking someone again apart from ur x.. did u tell him u liked him??" he asked
"Crazy ah.. what if he rejects me.. i can't cope well with rejection and plus i don't want to get into his relationship.. Afterall they are one matching couple.. i don't want to be the culprit.. yea i really liked him..this is part of life.. you always want something that you can't get.. "she replied
"Not to worry too much girl.. goes with the flow.. focus on ur studies and career first.. put love aside.. since he is taken.. just focus on someone else then.. what did you see in him anyway?" he asked
"The chemistry is there.. i liked him for who he is.. we clicked very easily and i am always very happy when he is around.. Yeah.. thanks for that.. don't worry.. i know what's my main priority in life.. don't worry yeah??"she replied
"K.. good to know u're doing well and totally forgotten about ur jerk x.. not worth it k.. it's his lost.. not urs.. let the bygone be bygone.. life is about looking towards the future not turning back to the past.. take care of urself k.. just called up to check this little devil of mine.. let's meet up one day k?? u owe me loadsa bear hugs.
